Body needs proteinthat day- To give it , Vagbhat suggestBhasi food usage. o Jain equal the not usage of food after 48minutes to Ahimsa ã Western and Eastern people DNA is different ã Indians take values associated with religious belief  ã Global warming another reason for not use of Refrigerator  ã Micro Wave Oven-Only part of the food is heated ã Making of hot rotti known only in India. ã Western people do not know how to make it ã They eat bread made 3 months back  Sutra 3 ã Raw materials of food not to be of 7 days old ã Powdered wheat to be consumed within 15 days o Other cereals powder within 7 days o Rural chakki running ladies in villageshealthy – no cesarean or arthritis o Reason? pressure on the stomach-Uterus 2  o More the elasticity for uterus and themuscles around the better for thehealth of the women o  No cesarean in olden days o Ayurveda- till 7 th month of pregnancymother can exert (running the chakki) o When Menopause stops (45+ age)many problems -sudden changes in the body– shiver, hot, flashes, depression,etc., o Allopathy suggests hormonereplacement o Weight increases is the output o  No permanent cure for problems out of menopause. But it can be controlledwith kitchen equipments-One is Chakkiand other Masala powdering equipment o Gym can not reduce the stomach o Vata more in Hot climate people. Toreduce it slow exercises, slow dances- bharatnatyam etc., o In western countries vata is low toincrease it fast exercises, dances etc.,- ballet, disco etc., o Technology in the kitchen has broughtcontrol on diseases o In the name of development we have brought diseases inside the houses o Machines have turned body intomachines. o All these have reduced the work of the body. Sutra 4 -Do not reduce the physical work till 60years ã 18 to 60 body need to work  ã Children physical work in the form of games ã  Now all have been mechanized ã It has made the life mechanized ã It removed the joy of life ã In olden days there was joy in work and life ã It was expressed thru songs ã In olden days people used to work with songs – different occasions songs varies - wedding,sowing, harvesting, festival, ã  Now no body knows the songs ã  Now boredom has come Sutra No 5 ã Live along with the geographical conditions ã India a place of hot climate- more vata problems ã 70 to 85 % problems out of this ã 10 % - 15% Pitta related diseases ã 5% Kapha related diseases ã Do not do anything that increases Vata egrunning -Running in India is wrong ã Food habits-People from Rajasthan living inChennai to consume rice and not wheat Lecture No 3 ã Vagbhat – Moksha concept –The person who isfree of sorrow and try to remove others un-happiness gets moksha -3 types of unhappiness ã One who has removed his sorrow but do not try toremove others sorrow, is not entitled to moksha ã Sadus try to remove only their own sorrow ã Householders alone try to remove others sorrow ã How to remove body sorrow- the most importantaspect stomatch-90% problems (nearly 150 typesof diseases) stomach related-10% related to other  parts ã How to safe guard from the stomach related problems? ã How you eat is more important-eat withmastication Sutra No 6-Drinking water after eating food is equalto drinking poison o Jatara in stomach (amashaya) –Fire is produced. o Food eaten goes to Amashaya- o If water consumed after eating food itdouses the jatara and the food getsdecomposed instead of digestion-Result?Gas production- and nearly 103 types of diseases – acidity, hyper acidity-ulcer, peptic ulcer, cancer, Increase of cholesterol/fat o Proper digestion of food will not createcholesterol o Drink water after 1 ½ hours of food-region wise this differs – Uttaranchal itwould be 2 ½ hours o Drinking water before eating food can be40 to 50 minutes before eating food o Drinking water in between food – if 2types of food – rice and rotti – drink water in between the two-How much ? 2to 3 mouthful only. o After food drink Butter milk or milk or seasonal fruit juice o Fruit juice after break fast- why theenzymes needed to digest that is produced only in the morning o Butter milk only after afternoon food-why the enzymes produced only in themorning o Milk after supper  o How to drink water after 1 ½ hours food? o Water does not have any qualities – itacquire quality into which it is mixed.Therefore even though butter milk/fruit juice etc., major portion is water, itacquires the quality of butter or juicewhen gets mixed. 3  o Drink water with lota not glass keepingvery near to body o Why? Surface tension issues. It createsstress on water  o Lota is round- has minimum surfacearea- minimum surface tension o Glass has more surface hence the water kept in it has surface tension o Well is round and has minimum surfacetension o Water quality is cleaning. It reduces thesurface tension of the intestine and theunwanted things is thrown out o Water with high surface tension worksopposite and hold back unwantedthings. o Cold water surface is high and it willhold back the items ã Drink water by sipping ã Mouth produces saliva (alkaline) and jatara produces acids. Both mixed together neutralizes ã When water is drunk by sipping, it takes thealkaline saliva and then mixes the acidic enzymesand neutralizes both- pH level =7 ã In whose stomach the acid and alkaline is similar to water will live 100 years. ã Obesity reduced only by changing the water drinking habits ã Never drink cold water ã Drink water temperature of which is equal to body temperature- never above the bodytemperature. ã Cold water goes into stomach and cools thestomach-body gets cold-all organs also get cold. ã If the stomach is functional, it tries to convert thecold water into body temperature- more energyand blood needed for it which is taken from other  parts- first from head- slowly it creates a problemfor that organs – brain hemorrhage ã Western countries –people drink chilled water – constipation – 2 hours in toilets ã Do not take ice cream, cold drinks etc., it createsconstipation ã Saliva produced in the mouth very potent andshould not be wasted. Animals lick the wounds toheal ã Sutra-Drink water as soon as you wake up(before brushing) ã Why? Saliva production active even during thesleep time. Brahmamurt saliva very potent – donot waste it-1 to 1 ¼ liter for grown up(3 glasses)750 grams for below that (2 glass) o Diabetes patients – wounds – healedout of saliva. Gangrene patients alsocured o Eye problem – fat specks – by applyingmorning saliva to eye like kajal o Conjunctivitis- apply saliva o Black eyes- black circles around the sun – apply saliva o What is the content of Saliva – samechemicals as in the soil – 18 micronutrients o Eczema, Psoriases – saliva can cure o Eating pan with chuna (1 gram withoutsupari and tobacoo) is recommended Lecture No 4Have a regular food timing ã Take food when the jatara is extreme ã Jatara time peaks till 2 ½ hours from the sun rise. ã Animals follows this rule ã Each body organs have its own times for peak work  ã Eg heart – during brahmamurt- most of the heartattacks during that time ã Take the maximum food during that time. ã Anything that you like most take in the first food ã Take lunch before 9.30 am and not break-fast ã Break-fast is western concept- they take little break-fast and lunch more and supper maximum. ã Reason? No sun shine in western countries in themorning. ã Good morning concept – because of that- they wishthe sun shine in the morning ã Keep reducing the food intake subsequent to that ã Eg. 6 rottis in the first food, make it 4 at afternoonand 2 at night ã Food to fill the stomach and mind also. ã Take food that you make you happy Supper to be taken 40 minutes before sun setDo not take in-compatable items together -103 items ã Eg o Onion and milk – if taken together  psoriasis, eczema will be output o Milk and Jack fruit o Milk and Citric items fruits(orange,lemon etc.,) o Amla alone can be taken along with Milk  o Ghee and Honey o Urad dhal and Curd – blood pressureincreases (dhahi vada taboo) Eat food squatting on floor ã Jatara intensity maintained in sitting posture,standing position it is reduced, sitting on the chair itis moderately reduced. ã Why? The shad chakra behind the hip joints – it hasinfluence on the jatara . In sitting posture itsintensity on jatara is increased ã Plate can be slightly higher than the floor  4
