National foreword This standard has been prepared by ECISS/TC 2 ‘Steel – Physico-chemical and non-destructive testing’ (Secretariat: France). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Werkstofftechnologie (Materials Technology Standards Committee), Technical Committee Prüfung nach der Wärmebehandlung. Amendments DIN 50190-2, March 1979 edition, has been superseded by the specifications of EN 10328.
