Erin Marie began studying Science of Mind under Dr. Andrea Asebedo in 2006. Having affiliated in 2013 as a Center for Spiritual Living Minister, she was called to serve our spiritual community. Rev. Each session will include a brief educational component about the nature of grief and how to work with it and a discussion component where group members will be able to share their own experiences. The sessions will be from 6:00-7:30 PM. Our 2/11 session will be on stages of grief, and we hope you can come. Mutual support and recognition are key aspects of this offering. There is no charge for the sessions although a love offering is appreciated. YOUNG ADULTS GATHERING – This month we will be joining the “Awakening Spontaneity” workshop as guests for the evening. FEBRUARY COMMUNITY MEAL & TED TALK UPDATED TIME! NOON – 2 PM We have changed the time of our community meal, and we hope you will come and share! You are invited to share a potluck dish and view one of the many wonderful TED talks we will be airing, followed by a table discussion. Our potluck lunch/viewing starts at Noon and will end at 2 PM. Bring a dish that serves 8-10, and help the environment by bringing your own plate & silverware too! Coffee, tea and water on us! Hope you can join us! A DAY OF MINDFULNESS “Present Moment, Beautiful Moment” This Saturday, February 7 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM This Day of Mindfulness is an opportunity to explore and experience a sampling of mindfulness and meditation practices to support your daily spiritual practice. It is powerful to sit in meditation as a community and consciously connect with others, learning and growing together. Practitioner Ronna Biggs will lead the day, and you will have the opportunity to learn more about silent/sitting meditation, listening meditation, eating mindfully, body scanning and walking meditation, and how these practices cultivate present-moment awareness. Participants should bring a blanket or yoga mat. Also, if you prefer to sit on a zafu or bench for sitting meditation, please feel free to bring one; otherwise, chairs are provided. Please dress in layers as we’ll be inside and outside for certain practices, rain or shine. Please bring your own lunch; water and hot water for tea will be provided. This is an Art Auction to benefit the Annual Women’s Retreat led by Dr. Andrea Asebedo and Rev. Sue MillerBorn (CSL Redding). There will be beautiful art that folks have created or that they are ready to pass on. There will be appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages, with conversation and music to round out the evening. The auction will be held at the Center for Spiritual Living, 2224 Yew Street Rd, Bellingham on March 7, 2015, at 6:00. Admission is $20/person. What is it?
