Our new flats sorter’s unique industry leading technology makes it versatile. Choose between an automatic feeder and/or single or dual manual feeders to accept an unprecedented range of mail thicknesses and types. You can sort pieces up to 25mm thick through the Automatic Feeder. For even greater range, thicknesses up to 38mm can be sorted using the Manual Feeder. You’ll be able to sort more mail types - including padded, corrugated and Tyvek® envelopes, magazines (both tabbed and untabbed) bounded print material, misshapen pieces and most importantly, poly wrap.
You can efficiently configure it to precisely suit your mailstream requirements. Choose between feeding mechanisms - automatic, manual, or both. Additionally, there are options for scanning, an inline scale, and output printing. The system is modular and can be quickly upgraded at your site. Versatility and efficiency from end-to-end This VariSort Mixed Mail Sorter configuration consists of an automatic feeder, a high performance optical character recognition capability, a high definition inkjet printer, a weigh-on-the-fly scale, and an inline label printer. Software includes a database engine that can be modified to accommodate sorting rules to suit your business needs.

A high performance OCR and robust directory retrieval software help read and resolve the greatest number of mailpieces. You minimise rejects and reduce expensive manual sorts. What’s more, a Quad-Direction OCR reduces manual handling of material prior to production.
Reduce reflection. Improve productivity. For standard imaging, a new OCR camera and brilliant LED lighting system combine to deliver a bright and sharp image to the OCR System that reads address information through virtually all mailpiece surfaces including highly reflective poly wrap. The result? A more automated throughput for those difficult to sort pieces.

You can roll up expansion modules and have them up and running in a few hours. Start out with the size and processing power you need today and quickly add more capacity when your business grows. You can choose your output options to meet the specifications and workflow of your mailstream. For example, if more than 80% of your mail is poly wrap, you can only invest in a labeller that configures to your needs. Is demand for non-poly wrap mail pieces increasing? Then you can easily add an inkjet printing system that produces indicia, logos, or custom imagery that you specify. Is pricing flexibility important to you and your customers? Ask for 3D piece-sizing and an optional inline scale system that allows you to charge by size, volume or weight. Label Printer

Its stacker section features tub presentation, encoder-based tracking, and a fully automated optional AutoTub bottom tier that requires no operator intervention. It can be configured with as few as 3 or up to 150 AutoTub lanes and supports multiple tub configurations.

Designed with people in mind Even though the VariSort Mixed Mail Sorter is probably the world’s most automated flats sorter, it is also designed to make operators’ jobs easier and more efficient. All key controls and offloading are on one side of the sorter. The ergonomically friendly dual-tier stacker has “tub full” detection with automatic redirection. Integrated LCD displays make stacking instructions easier to view. Lift gates are air activated for quieter operation. Optional integrated takeaway conveyors streamline tub management and minimise health and safety concerns. A tub manifesting capability is also built in.
