TECH) FOR ACADEMIC YEAR   2017-18 The Government of Maharashtra notified the rules vide Gazette Notification No. TEM-2016/CR 473/16 (Part-4)/TE-4, dated on 24 th  April 2017 to regulate admissions to the First and Direct Second Year of Full Time Professional Post Graduate Technical Courses (Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Management and Computer Applications). These rules are called the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Education Institution, Regulation of Admission to the professional Post Graduate Degree Courses. These rules are also made applicable for admissions in Government and Government Aided institutions vide Government Resolution of Higher & Technical Education Department No. TEM-2016/CN 473/16/TE-4 Dated 25 th  April 2017. This notification is being issued for Online Registration, Documents Verification and Application Form Confirmation at Facilitation Centers (FC) by candidates and subsequent activities aspiring for admissions to First Year of Full Time Post Graduate Courses in Engineering and Technology (M. E. / M. Tech) in the Government, Government Aided, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions for the Academic Year 2017-18 in the Maharashtra State. The Director, Technical Education shall act as a Nodal Officer to carry out the admissions under the supervision & control of the Competent Authority. Aspiring candidates are hereby informed to read the aforesaid Act and Rules published on https://me2017.dtemaharashtra.gov.in 1 . For Maharashtra Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates i) The Candidate should be an Indian National; ii)  Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions or equivalent, with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).   Candidates appeared Bachelor degree or equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology in 2017 should produce passing certificate by 24 th  of August 2017. iii)  Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant course of Engineering and Technology as specified in the eligibility criteria for admission to a Post Graduate Degree course of the concerned University for which admission is being sought; iv)  Obtained score in Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by Indian Institute of Technology; Or iv)  For sponsored candidates, minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ educational and/ or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. These Candidates are exempted from obtaining GATE score. (The Sponsored Candidates Should have required Experience on 21 st   th July 2017.) 2. NRI / OCI/ PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries (CIWGC), Foreign National(FN). i)  Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions or equivalent, with at least 50% marks; ii)  Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant course of Engineering and Technology as specified in the eligibility criteria for admission to a Post Graduate Degree course of the concerned University for which admission is being sought; Note: - - Candidates who have appeared GATE 2017 and have marks below qualifying marks should apply on the basis of Marks obtained out of 100. Candidates appeared GATE 2016 and have marks above qualifying marks are eligible for admission through CAP.    Online Registration for Admission:- 1   The aspiring candidates are required to fill Application form and Registration Charges as stated below is to be paid through online system by Credit Card/ Debit Card, Internet Banking Mobile Wallets for which the service charges, as applicable. 2   This fee paid is non-refundable under any circumstances. Only those Candidates who have verified and confirmed documents at Facilitation Centers and having CAP Merit number shall be eligible for admission for all types of seats/quota under CAP. 2.   As per the Rule No 3 & 13, candidates aspiring for admission for Institutional Quota, vacant seats after CAP, Seats under NRI/OCI/PIO, Children of Indian workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC), Foreign National (FN) Catagories, it is a prerequisite & mandatory to get documents verified and confirmed at facilitation centers. Such candidates must apply separately  to Institutes for admissions to seats other than CAP Seats. Merit of such candidates shall be prepared at the institute level; However, CET Cell may also publish the list of such registered & eligible candidates separately on website. 3.   *Facility of Online Registration & Documents verification, confirmation of Application Form for Admission to Seats other than CAP Seats  shall be continued till 24 th  August 2017  up to 5.00 PM at FC. Applications registered online/verified & confirmed at FC after Last Date i.e. 18 th  July 2017  shall be considered only for Non CAP Seats.   Important Instructions for candidate: 1.   The List of the institutes identified as Facilitation Centers (FC) and Admission reporting Centers (ARC) is available on the website. 2.   The Information Brochure will be available on website. 3.   The candidates are required to produce the documents in srcinal documents for verification and Confirmation of Application Form at FC. 4.   Candidates are advised to keep the necessary documents ready and scan all the documents. 5.   If candidates fail to confirm online filled Application Form at FC, then such applications will be rejected and name of such candidates will not appear in the merit list(s) prepared for the purpose of Admission for both CAP as well as non-CAP process. 6.   The candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT (A), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC and SBC categories should produce “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by Sc rutiny Committee of Social Welfare Department and the Candidate belonging to ST category should submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department. All Backward Class candidates excluding SC & ST should produce Non Creamy Layer  certificate valid up to   31 st   March 2018  at the time of verification of documents at FC, if these candidates are not able to produce the Non Creamy Layer certificate, then such candidates will be treated as GENERAL category candidates and such candidates will not be able to claim Reserved seats in the admission process. 7.   Application received after the due date from candidates belonging to NRI/OCI/PIO, Children of Indian workers in Gulf countries (CIWGC), Foreign National (FN) categories will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Such Candidates will get the Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement through their login after verification & confirmation of application form. 8.   Reserved category candidates unable to produce Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate are required produce Proforma H on Rs.100/- Non Judicial Bond Paper for verification. 9.   Once the candidate confirms his/her Option form online through his/her Login for the respective admission rounds, Candidate will not be allowed to change/cancel the option/preference submitted under any circumstances. 10.   The Seat Acceptance fees  is to be paid online or by Demand Draft   in favour of 'Commissioner, State CET Cell, Maharashtra State, Mumbai' payable “ at Par ” or “at Mumbai’.     General Notes: 1.   Candidate can avail the facilities for filling online application form, scanning documents free of cost at Facilitation Centre (FC). 2.   All FC’s shall remain open on all days including holidays and Sundays (Except 15th Aug 2017) for submission & confirmation of application form during the schedule. 3.   The schedule displayed above is provisional and may change under unavoidable circumstances.
