The Renovation of the Minorite Church in Maribor Die Kirche Mariä Himmelfahrt in Maribor, bekannt als Minoritenkirche, ist ein fester Bestandteil des im 13. Jhdt. gegründeten ehemaligen Minoritenklosters. Mit dem Umbau der Kirche wurde nun ein Veranstaltungszentrum mit besonderem Flair in der Altstadt geschaffen.
The Assumption of Mary Church in Maribor, better known as the Minorite Church, is an inherent part of the former Minorite Monastery which was founded in the 13th century. The reconstruction of the church created an event centre, which has a particular flair, in the historic centre.

In order to show the archaeological artefacts a new lower floor was built. In addition to the ON-SITE exhibition of these artefacts the space is planned as an exhibition location for the architectural history of the church and the monastery, which are considered to comprise the most significant historical building complex of mediaeval Maribor. In order for the design of the lower floor to be architecturally coherent only a selection of the most meaningful artefacts can be found on site. Via the construction of this exhibition space it was to be shown that each historical restoration was, out of necessity, at least responsible for the partial demolition of the church.
