JULY 14–20, 2013 MIKE ERRE SPEAKER Mike Erre’s life experiences have given him a tenderness that deepens his Bible teaching and reaches the hearts of his listeners. He can dig into the heart of the matter, while still managing to bring laughter to the surface. He grew up near Columbus, Ohio, in a little town called Lexington. Mike moved to Southern California in 1997 to pursue an M.A. in philosophy of religion and ethics through Talbot School of Theology. He has served in a number of churches: First

JULY 21–27, 2013 DENNIS KEATING SPEAKER Dennis Keating was born in New York State into a family of nine. At the age of five, they moved to California near the Pasadena area. He was raised in a devout Catholic family, and attended 12 years of Catholic school. Dennis placed his personal faith in Jesus Christ after hearing the gospel at Forest Home Christian Conference Center in 1972. He received his undergraduate degree from San Diego State University in accounting in 1975, and a Master of Divinity from Talbot Seminary in 1979.

He is personable and passionate about learning to love and glorify Christ each day and helping others to do the same. He’s amazed that God saved him as a boy in Connecticut. He is blessed by his wife Donna, who has been a faithful ministry partner since 1989. Together, they adopted their daughter Caroline from Taiwan. JULY 7–13, 2013 MATTHEW CORK SPEAKER Matthew Cork is an energetic speaker with an overflowing heart for the “least of these.” When Matthew brings God’s Word to life, he always finds a way to make the lessons go home with you, where you can live out biblical truth in practical ways. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Azusa Pacific University and a master’s degree in pastoral studies from Azusa Pacific University. He is currently lead pastor of Yorba Linda Friends Church. In 2007, on a trip to India, Matthew saw firsthand the plight of the Dalit people and the impact education can have on improving their lives. Since then, Friends Church has launched a new vision called Global Freedom and has been instrumental in building a large number of Education Centers throughout India.
AUGUST 4–10, 2013 BOB KRANING SPEAKER Bob Kraning was associated with Forest Home ministries for 22 years. He served as Executive Director from 1974 to 1988, and in that capacity spoke at conferences and conventions across the United States and around the world. He is a past President of Christian Camping International, USA division. Bob is an excellent communicator of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His own love for the Lord and his excitement over the Word shows equally from his platform presentations, his personal counseling, and his private life. Bob and his wife, Carol, were married in 1957. They have two sons, Kent and Kevin, who are both married, as well as eight grandsons and one granddaughter.

NOVEMBER 9–11, 2012 SKIP LANGFRIED SPEAKER Skip has served as a Pastor in a large church setting starting in 1998. His passion is to see the local church engage fully in the great commission. Skip has been married to his wife, Lara, since 1992 and they have a teenage daughter (Madeleine) and a teenage son (Baer). Skip received a Masters of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1995 and is in the final stages of his Doctorate in Ministry degree focusing on developing a spiritual formation model which will lead people into a lifestyle of compassion towards those who are suffering. Skip believes in simple things done well and the power of ordinary Christ followers to change the world.
BILLY KAPPEN MUSICIAN Since he was a small child Billy Kappen has demonstrated a deep love of music. As he has grown in his gifts and abilities he has found his love of music create opportunities to minster deeply to the

MICHELLE BLOOM MUSICIAN Michelle wase the Artist-in-Residence at Westmont College, entrusted with over 40 chapels and then lead several years of Senior Chapel at Azusa Pacific University. She is currently working on her 5th recording called “Fields of Attention” a collection of river hymns and poem/songs that meet the growing cultural need to come together as communities and practice slowing down. She has been invited by authors Dr. Dan Siegel of UCLA and Jon Kabat-Zinn of Harvard to present at conferences that address the practice of being in the present moment, cultivating mindfulness and compassion. She returns to Forest Home with a new version of Psalm 23. Michelle lives with her family, husband Scott Nelson and son, Sawyer in Pasadena, CA.

APRIL 12–14, 2013 BOB SHANK SPEAKER At 31, Bob Shank transitioned from business to ministry and founded Priority Living, a faith-based organization serving business men and women in the marketplace. In 1997, he launched The Master’s Program, a leadership mentoring program that has helped thousands of leaders across North America to expose and exploit their unique Kingdom calling. Today, Bob’s compelling look at the Word of God makes him a much sought after national speaker. Bob and Cheri have been married since 1971 and have two adult daughters, two great sons-in-law and five near-perfect grandchildren.

AARON BLANTON MUSICIAN Aaron Blanton is a Grammy Nominated, 3 time Dove Award winning recording artist. After learning to play drums in his local church, he went on to become a founding member of SONICFLOOd. In 2000, Aaron joined By the Tree as the drummer and one of the primary songwriters, and became the lead singer in 2005. After a long history of touring and steady recording, he, along with his family, moved to California to become the Worship Pastor at Friends Church in Yorba Linda.

Pete Shambrook MUSICIAN Pete Shambrook has been a worship leader and the Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Rockharbor Church in Costa Mesa for 6.5 years. Serving as worship leader for Promise Keepers from 1996–2005, Pete led men in worship in stadiums and arenas across the United States along with many conference style worship gatherings from men’s retreats to ministry conferences. Pete also has the ability to lead gatherings of believers in intimate acoustic style worship allowing its simplicity to winsomely set the stage for the Spirit to move in the hearts of men and women. He is a recording artist who has completed multiple projects of both worship and contemporary genres. JODI HICKERSON SPEAKER Jodi Hickerson has a full life! She is the wife of the Senior Pastor at Mission Church in Ventura, she is raising three active daughters, and happens to also be in full-time ministry! She has much to share with us on how the truth of God’s word not only impacts our daily life but makes it rich and full of joy. Jodi is a vibrant Bible teacher and adds practical application to her teaching though her transparency and down to earth presentation.
Sue, WOMEN’S SOLITUDE RETREAT MANDIE PINTO MUSICIAN Mandie was born and raised in Southern California. At the age of eight she began taking piano lessons and subsequently ventured into voice training. At the age of 14, she felt the call to minister through music. Since then she has independently recorded and released six solo albums in the last 15 years. Mandie is currently the Worship Team Leader at Real Life Church in Santa Clarita, California. She lives with her husband, Jeremy, to whom she has been happily married to for over four years, and their precious daughter Bridgette Claire, who was born in April 2009.
