Thank you for purchasing the Etón Rukus XL, a Bluetooth® wireless speaker with beautiful sound quality. The Rukus XL is powered from the rechargeable Li-ion battery charged by the solar panel or the AC adapter (included). Please read this user manual to get a good understanding of how the Rukus XL works and how to fully enjoy it.

Pressing and holding the button shows the condition of the Li-ion battery. The Li-ion battery (SW9) starts charging once the AC adapter is plugged in or when the solar panel is in direct sunlight.

PLUGGING IN THE AC ADAPTER The Rukus XL comes equipped with an AC adapter. Plug the AC adapter into the right socket labeled DC located under the rubber plug on the side of the Rukus XL. Plug the other end into an AC socket. With the AC adapter plugged in, the Rukus XL starts charging its Li-ion battery and is ready to play. CONNECTING YOUR BLUETOOTH DEVICE 8
Press and HOLD the ON/OFF Power button for 3 seconds (until you hear the beep). CHARGING A SMARTPHONE OR OTHER USB DEVICE THROUGH USB PORT The smartphone or USB device starts charging once it is inserted into the USB port. When the Rukus XL’s POWER is OFF it can still charge your device. Please be advised that leaving your device after it has received a full charge from the Rukus XL, if is still set ‘ON’, it will continue to drain the Rukus XL’s internal battery.

ADJUSTING THE VOLUME Press the volume buttons, Bluetooth® device.

button to turn on Bass Boost.
AUX (AUXILIARY) The button switches between Bluetooth¨ device and AUX-input if there is a signal from the AUX-In port. The Bluetooth signal takes priority if there is a Bluetooth signal and an audioin signal at the same time. If the audio-in signal is present, the switching function of the ‘AUX’ button is available. The AUX light turns on when auxiliary input is being used. PLAY/PAUSE Pressing the button switches from play to pause for the the Bluetooth device, or control it directly on your device.

SERVICE FOR YOUR PRODUCT To obtain service for your product, we recommend first contacting an Etón service representative at 800-872-2228 US, 800-637-1648 Canada or (650) 903-3866 for problem determination and trouble-shooting. If further service is required, the technical staff will instruct how to proceed based on whether the radio is still under warranty or needs non-warranty service. WARRANTY – If your product is still in warranty and the Etón service representative determines that warranty service is needed, a return authorization will be issued and instructions for shipment to an authorized warranty repair facility. Do not ship your radio back without obtaining the return authorization number. NON-WARRANTY – If your product is no longer under warranty and requires service our technical staff will refer you to the nearest repair facility that will be able to best handle the repair. For service outside of North America, please refer to the distributor information included at time of purchase/receipt.

As the main plug of the AC adaptor is used to disconnect the AC adaptor from the mains, connect the system to an easily accessible AC outlet. The system is not disconnected from the AC power source (mains) as long as it is connected to the AC outlet, even if the system itself has been turned off.

Precautions Notes on the AC adaptor
-When connecting or disconnecting the AC adaptor, tum off the system beforehand. Otherwise, it may cause malfunction. -Use only the supplied AC adaptor. To avoid damaging the system, do not use any other AC adaptor.
Polarity ofthe plug -Plug the AC adaptor into a nearby wall outlet (mains). In the case of a problem, unplug it from the wall outlet (mains) immediately. -Do not install the AC adaptor in a confined space, such ·as a bookcase or built-in cabinet. -To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the AC adaptor to dripping or splashing, and do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the AC adaptor. On placement
-Do not set the speaker in an inclined position. -Do not leave the system in a location near heat sources, or in a place subject to direct sunlight (except when charging by solar panel), excessive dust, moisture, rain or mechanical shock. "-Do not expose the battery to excessive heat such as direct sunlight, fire or the like. On operation
-Do not insert any small objects, etc., into the jacks. The system may short out or malfunction. On cleaning
-Do not use alcohol, benzine, or thinner to clean the cabinet.

Blitz- oder sonstige Natureinwirkungen; falsche Eingangsspannung, Spannungsschwankungen und -spitzen; Schaden durch falsche oder unvorschriftsmaBige Installation; Schaden durch Saureaustritt aufgrund von unvorschriftsmaBig eingelegten Batterien bzw. von schadhaften Batterien; Anderungen oder Modifikationen am Produkt; oder die Verwendung von nicht autorisierten Teilen, Verbrauchsmaterialien, Zubehbrteilen oder Ausstattungen, die dieses Produkt beschadigen oder Betriebsstbrungen verursachen.
Werden wahrend der Garantiezeit Mangel festgestellt, repariert Et6n kostenlos und nach eigenem Ermessen das Produkt mit neuen oder Oberholten Teilen bzw. tauscht diese aus. Um den Garantieanspruch nicht zu verwirken, muss das Produkt spatestens 15 Tage nach Ablaut der Garantiezeit ausreichend frankiert an Et6n oder den zustandigen Kundendienst eingereicht werden. Vor einer ROcksendung des Produkts zwecks Garantieleistungen hat der Kaufer sich mit Et6n oder dem zustandigen Kundendienst in Verbindung zu setzen, damit FehlerbehebungsmaBnahmen
