Fault Identification Of 3-PhaseSlip Ring Induction Motor By,Manivannan.VMohammed Aasique Iqbal.SRamanathan.PSuresh Kumar.K.BGUIDE NAME : Mrs. M.Ummu Salma / AP  Objective ã A computer based protection system has beenintroduced to monitor the various faults of theInduction Motors and it is achieved with thehelp of the microcontroller. ã We find the suitable technique for theidentification of possible faults occurring inthe thermal power station I-expansionNeyveli.  Existing System ã The existing technology to detect and protect theinduction motor fault using programmable logiccontrollers. This system has several drawbackswhich can affect the performance of the system.   ã Some applications that perform a single function,is not efficient in the use of PLC.   ã Cost of the PLC is very high as compare to themicrocontroller.   ã Cost of the PLC directly proportional to contact inPLC.   ã It does not having ADC so we have make separatesystem to convert analog to digital. So the systemmay complex.    Proposed system ã In our project fault detection and protectionof induction motor, we are implementing themicrocontroller ATMEGA16 in terms of PLC. ã And we are using the software proteus 7profession to simulate the entire system.Proteus 7 profession software in more reliableand managing system in not tedious processas compare to other process.
