The srcinal file will be savedusing an alternate file name. Known issues in PRO/II 8.3 1.PRO/II 8.3 to Romeo 5.1 translator pops up errors and fails.Changing the EdlibName in Translator.ini file in Romeo 5.1 installto “ROMeo_5.1” works fine.2.In Residue Curves, when a new workbook is created, the toolbargets deactivated for all open workbooks. This is EXCEL behavior. For this reason we cannot have a warning message on a work-book basis.3.Previously, distillation columns in recycle loops recalculated inevery recycle iteration. Now, improved logic tests a solved col-umn to determine if it needs to resolve. When no changes aredetected in the feeds, column operating conditions, or options, nothing affects the solution. In each iteration where this isfound, the column calculations are skipped so they are notrepeated.Previously, restarting a solved column began calculations at thesolved state. In many cases, the results drifted due to the differ-ent starting point. Now, restarted columns always restart usingsrcinal initial conditions. This eliminates any drift in results inmost cases. What is new/changed in PRO/II 8.3 Default changes ➤ Replace BK10 from the most commonly used thermo list withSRKM Residue Curve MapUtilityEntirely driven through ExcelFull User ControlCharts and Data are well arranged and ready for further usein MS-Office applications New FeatureDescription  4Important Notices ➤ New Output Report Defaults:1. “Include Thermodynamic Input Parameters will be turned onby default2. Include Overall Flowsheet Mass Balance will be turned on bydefault3. Print Calculation Sequence Map in the Output' will be turnedon by default Aromatics extraction NRTL library for use with the Sulfolane® BTXextraction process (Sulfolane is a trademark of Shell International)   A new NRTL parameter databank containing literature sourced inter-action parameters for 11 components have been added to the thermolibrary. All binary combinations are available. The componentsinclude:WaterSulfolane (Tetrahydrothiophene-1,1-dioxide)N-HexaneN-HeptaneN-OctaneBenzeneTolueneP-XyleneM-XyleneO-XyleneEthylbenzene Improvements to SimSci Heavy Oil Viscosity PRO/II 8.2.2 contains an update to the SimSci heavy oil liquid viscos-ity method. Bitumens and heavy oils can be orders of magnitudemore viscous than conventional sweet light crude. The conventionalAPI method for viscosity prediction significantly underperforms onprediction of heavy oils viscosity. The SimSci heavy oil liquid vis-cosity method originally released in PRO/II 8.2 has been improvedthe based on data received from SimSci-Esscor's Heavy Oils Con-
